How the book
All you need to do is share the participants’ contact details with us and approve the final draft of book. The rest is on us.
We edit the material while preserving each person’s natural voice and meaning, work with the photographs provided, and create an individual design for each book.
We bring memories and stories together into one coherent portrait.

The book is printed, bound and assembled by hand. Interview recordings are placed on a personal webpage, accessible directly through a QR code in the book.

We transcribe the interviews and select the stories, details and moments that reveal the person most vividly.

My work is to bring many different voices together into one coherent portrait of a person.
That is how «ЭТО ТЫ» (THIS IS YOU) began: as a project about the part of our lives that exists in other people.
How they are remembered. Which of their words stay with someone for years. How they may have changed someone else’s life — perhaps without ever realizing it.
At some point, I became less interested in what people say about themselves. And more interested in what they could never see about themselves without other people.
My background combines psychology and journalism. Through two different professions, I found myself returning to the same thing: people, their words, and what often remains between the lines.
I’m Karina Nasyrova — a journalist, interviewer and the creator of “ЭТО ТЫ” (THIS IS YOU).
Throughout my professional life, I’ve worked with people, their stories and their words.

Creating a book usually takes around two months.
Ideally, we recommend getting in touch 2 to 2.5 months before the intended presentation date. This allows enough time for interviews, editing, design, approval and printing.

The stories and voices remain at the heart of the project. We work with the archive you have and develop the design so that the book feels cohesive even with a smaller number of images.
